2006 is already off to a great start with the opening of Ski Apache on December 17th. Though Mother Nature has not blessed the Mountain yet with abundant snowfall, the staff at Ski Apache has done a great job manufacturing enough of the white stuff to create a great early season of skiing and snowboarding experience. The town is loaded with great ski shops ready to fit you to your tastes and there’s plenty of great après ski activities after the slopes close. Check out current conditions and reduced rate lift tickets and everything else Ski Apache at their new website.

This past year has seen the Ruidoso area become the gaming capital of Southern New Mexico. The new Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino joins the Mescalero Tribe’s Casino Apache Travel Center Casino and the always fun Billy the Kid Casino at Ruidoso Downs Race Track to earn this crown title.  Come play in the Mountains and you may return home with a bag of gold just like the old prospectors!

So why trek to the Mountains try this January you may ask?  Well besides the great Ski Apache experience and the exciting gaming choices options put these great events on your calendar!
